The Taurus Full Moon occurs when the Moon in Taurus opposes the Sun in Scorpio, creating a 180 degree angle and a tension between the conscious mind (Sun) and the emotional instinctive reactions (Moon), and the challenging square of both luminaries to Mars will definitely spice up the Full Moon!
Mars is in Leo now, where the role of personal development is emphasized, and the Full Moon occurs in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is focused on stability and physical security, as well as the peace and serenity that comes from a life that is full of contentment and material gifts. This Full Moon could highlight any areas of our life where our personal ego gets in the way of our ability to achieve comfort in our lives, but will also help to energize us to fulfill the dreams of the Full Moon.
Any lunation, or lunar event, encompasses all of the planetary combinations that occur at the time of the event. Taurus's ruler Venus, the planet of love and beauty as well as harmony and peace forms a harmonious trine to Neptune on the day of the Full Moon. This harmonious dance between the planet of spirituality (Neptune) and the goddess of love helps to wrap our experience in a veil of magic and conscious awareness which helps us to utilize the energy of Mars in a more productive way.
Of course the approaching square from Saturn to Pluto is also a part of the lunation, adding a touch of darkness to the event and a requirement that we not forget that death is at our door while we celebrate at the party of pleasure. Humans are the only species with an awareness of death, and this more than anything is what inspires us to greater spiritual wisdom.

THE SHIRT
things you should know: i like to steal my boyfriend's clothes. i know, how typical. but i lucked out by finding a slender boy because we basically wear the same size. basically james bought himself a new shirt a few weeks ago and i've been jealous of it ever since. i've been begging to wear it but he won't let me because he knows he'll never see it again. i managed to steal it and wear it last week but he made it very clear that i would be returning it as soon as possible. the last straw for james, was when the shirt appeared in my laundry basket. oops. he took it and hung it on a lamp that i pretty much can't reach. fast forward to today. i'm doing homework and i turn the lamp on, i moved the shirt as much as i could but didn't think it would be a problem. WRONG. i'm drinkin coffee when i start to smell burning, did i forget to turn the coffee pot off? are there incense still burning? i run downstairs and back into my room and realize THE SHIRT is what is burning! i climb on a chair, remove it from the lamp to find a small hole but a hole nonetheless. do i tell him? or do i pretend like it never happened? i knew i was going to get in so much trouble, not because i started another fire but because it involved his beloved shirt. i told him there was a minor accident and to please not kill me. it's still wearable anyway and surprisingly he wasn't upset at all, i mean, it is just a shirt.

OYSTERS
oysters are my most favorite delicacy. who knew that it would be the theme of my day. my friend rachel happened to be throwing a pearl party while i happened to be in virginia beach. of course, i thought sex toys, but this party was actually for pearls. we literally got to shuck our own oysters and poof, inside is a pearl. you could either keep the pearl in the oyster or set it into a piece of jewelry. i chose a necklace. i also won pink pearl earrings, NO BIGGIE. fast forward, 5 hours later, i am sitting at a bar called a.w. shucks with two of my best friends and we are taking oyster shooters. bud light, cocktail sauce, tabasco, and of course, a delicious oyster. it sounds disgusting but it was delicious. a first for all of us. I TOTEZ RECOMMEND.

Go Marlins!
I went to my high school's Homecoming football game yesterday. I hadn't been back to Bayside in 5 years! Our football team hasn't been this good since my freshman year, 7-0 undefeated! It was really fun to see old friends and beloved teachers. I hit up the alumni tent for some fried chicken and a free cup. Unfortunately we lost, BUT that's ok, they're still eligible for districts. YES!
