a taste of the far east

let's see, 7 people, pretty hungry for lunch on a monday. kind of on a time limit. it's also martin luther king day, so nobody is at work or school. black sheep was crowded and ipanema was closed. it's hard to get 7 people to decide on a restaurant but we were out of options. the sign in front of far east said free soda. WE LOVE SODA. i'm extremely picky about my vietnamese cuisine but was pleasantly surprised with far east. for those of you that don't know, i barely ever go past lombardy, so to eat on grace and harrison was monumental. the restaurant is beautiful on the inside and very spacious too. we all loved their easy listening jazz covers but i could've done without the doctors show while i eat (i have a weak stomach). i split some spring rolls with andrea and got the tofu/veggie pho as my meal, we also got vietnamese coffee, which was very decadent and delicious. i wanted to steal the coffee cups but didn't because i'll probably go back soon, i mean, they are my people.
